Introduction : Mahabharata Story of Krishna
How did Shri Krishna use his cleverness in Mahabharata? Before the Mahabharata war, Devraj Indra feared that unless Karna had his kundal and armor, his son Arjuna would not be able to conquer Karna. That is why Indra disguised as a Brahmin asked Karna to donate his Kundal and Kavach. Indra was pleased by this benevolent nature of Karna and gave him a divine weapon.
Indra told Karna that this divine weapon can only be used once and whoever it is used on, whether human or deity, will not survive. Karna had kept this divine weapon for Arjuna. Karna wanted that with this divine weapon he should defeat Arjuna in battle. Shri Krishna knew that as long as Karna has this divine weapon, the Pandavas cannot defeat the Kauravas and Arjuna will not be able to face Karna even with this divine weapon.
That is why Shri Krishna brought Bhima’s eldest son Ghatotkacha to the war of Mahabharata. As Ghatotkacha entered the battle, there was a furore in the Kaurava army. None of the warriors could face Ghatotkacha. Then, at Duryodhana’s behest, Karna used Indra’s divine weapon and killed Ghatotkacha. Thus Shri Krishna used the divine weapon of Karna and saved Arjuna, Mahabharata Story of Krishna.
